2007 – 2009 Real world testing

In a real Side Mount Cave enviroment squezzing through parts of the cave is very demanding for your equipment, so being streamlined is key.
Most of the time the most used equipment is your wetsuit, that gets punctured.
Another essential key point to the gear is that you don´t offer entanglement points where you easily can be trapped.

As you can see in the picture back in time Steve was using loop bungees which he came away from, since they don´t work as efficient and streamlined as a single loop bungee.
