Pichit Muangnapoe
Pichit Muangnapoe, known as Berm, has been a PADI scuba diving instructor since 2000. In 2004, he began technical diving and became the first Thai national to teach technical diving under PADI.Â
Later, he also became an instructor for IANTD and TDI, offering a variety of courses in both recreational and technical diving, including Extended Range, Trimix, Cave, Wreck, and even Mine Diving. Notably, he is the first Thai instructor for the Razor Open Water Sidemount course, which focuses on advanced diving skills using Razor Sidemount equipment.
Berm is a former faculty member in the Department of Sports Science at Srinakharinwirot University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Sports Psychology from Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Since 1989, he has worked in sports psychology after completing his master's degree in Chicago, USA, and has dedicated over thirty years to training and developing the mental resilience of Thai athletes.
As an expert in sports psychology at the Sports Authority of Thailand, he has supported Thai athletes in international competitions, including the SEA Games, Asian Games, and the Olympic Games, among others. His areas of expertise include sepaktakraw, weightlifting, boxing, taekwondo, golf, swimming, football, beach volleyball, paragliding, hang gliding, tennis, and shooting.
In his university teaching role at Srinakharinwirot University and as a guest lecturer at other institutions, Berm teaches courses in sports psychology, sports philosophy, Olympic studies, physical education psychology, swimming, scuba diving, Muay Thai, health-related exercise, and running for health.
In his daily life, Berm stays active through running, weight training, cycling, and practicing meditation regularly.
