SKILL VALUE

The shuffle kick is a subtle propulsion method that involves small, controlled movements of the fins to make precise adjustments to your position. Ideal for photographers or divers working in confined spaces, this technique allows for fine movements without causing unnecessary water displacement or disturbing the surroundings.

Usefull at:

Photographing or filming where small, controlled movements are needed.

Position adjustments in confined spaces like wrecks or caves.

Delicate coral reef environments to prevent damaging the ecosystem.

Maintaining buoyancy while making minor adjustments to your position.

Learn How to

Use very small kicks from the ankles to generate subtle movement.

Focus on minimal leg movement to adjust your position in small increments.

Practice in low-current environments to fine-tune your control.

Keep fins horizontal and practice adjusting without stirring the water.

01

For the Shuffle Kick use only your ankles to move your fins.

02

You can move both ankles synchron to kick with both fins together

03

You can use also only one ankle depending on the movement you want to create.

04

And of course you can alter your ankle movement and use the fins asynchron

05

Both fins together can be a very relaxing slow forward movement.

06

You can practice this on every dive. Your ankles are consuming hardly any energy, so it is a very economic propulsion technique.
